Batik and Shibori Dyeing

Discover the versatile art of Batik and Shibori Dyeing techniques with textiles.

You will be guided to create unique patterns and designs while bringing your creative vision to life within the fabric. You will gain knowledge of the craft of colour blending and textile manipulation, as well as practical experience in different dyeing techniques such as tie-dye and shibori. This course is suitable for beginners.

Materials: All materials are included in the price, but you can bring your own fabrics and equipment/tools to work with and get advice on. You are also welcome to bring images for inspiration.

Tutor: Your tutor Miranda Stenhouse has a degree in Textile Design and experience working in the fashion industry, specialising in knitwear. She has also taught in primary education for 10 years, while continuing to develop her personal art practice.
