Students from Print visited the Fitzwilliam Museum to explore the collection of Arts and Crafts ceramics. Lucy selected a plate designed by William De Morgan (1839-1917), a prominent ceramic artist of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Lucy expressed, “I enjoyed the museum it was calm and quiet; we were looking at pictures on the pottery. I liked the eagle plate; I liked the patterns and colours and how the wings were spread out.”
Back at Rowan, Lucy transformed her drawing into a lino print.
