‘Move Any Way’ with Rowan

We had a wonderful afternoon at Satyam Yoga and Wellbeing Centre for our preview of the ‘Move Any Way’ exhibition. A big congratulations to everyone who played a part in this event! The artwork looks absolutely stunning.

Lima Rose, one of the lead Rowan tutors for our new Movement for Wellbeing workshops headed this exciting project and said, “Rowan is thrilled to present ‘Move Any Way,’ an initiative focused on raising awareness about diversity within the community and highlighting the benefits of yoga and movement for overall wellbeing. Our goal is to show that yoga and movement practices can be accessible and inclusive for all. The photographs and artworks showcased in the exhibition reflect our workshops, promoting both psychological and physical wellbeing through activities such as chair yoga, movement to music, walking, dancing, cycling, and playing games. Thank you to everyone who plays the National Lottery; this would not be possible without your support.”

Rowan student Evan created several pieces of artwork for the exhibition including self-portraits and drawings of his fellow students. When asked about Movement for Wellbeing workshops at Rowan he said “I like stretching. When I do yoga, I feel relaxed. When I go for a walk, I feel happy. When I dance, I feel cool.”

Contact the Satyam Yoga and Wellbeing Centre on 01223 354415 to find out opening times to view this unique exhibition from Rowan students. All artwork, excluding any photographs of the students, is for sale!
