Discover the joy and range of mixed printing techniques in this hands-on course exploring different techniques such as linocut, gelli plate printing, kitchen lithograph, and more. You’ll learn the basics of layering colour, using stencils and creating textures while developing your own creative style. These sessions offer a relaxed, mindful space to experiment and make art accessible for everyone.
Over the term, you’ll build a collection of unique prints that can be turned into handmade books, framed pieces, or cards. You’ll also gain the skills needed to continue printing at home.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own tools to get advice on, or images for inspiration. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little mucky.
Your tutor Yasemin Gyford is a printmaker, illustrator, urban sketcher and educator. She has over 30 years of artistic experience and 20 years of teaching in schools and community settings. (http://www.yasemingyford.com/)
