In this hands-on needle felting course, you’ll discover the delightful craft of needle felting, working with felting needles and dyed wool fibre to create charming 2D and 3D portraits and figures of cats and dogs. It’s a surprisingly absorbing process — sculpting, blending colours and coaxing fine detail from wool — and the results are as rewarding as they are adorable.
By the end of the course, you’ll have completed at least two finished pieces and picked up the skills, techniques and confidence to carry on at home. Whether you want to immortalise your own pet or simply love the subject matter, you’ll find plenty of inspiration along the way.
Open to complete beginners and those looking to develop existing needle felting skills alike.
Zenia is a self-taught needle felting artist originally trained in analogue photography, who has been working with wool for over ten years — and her eye for detail, texture and character shows. Inspired by the natural world, she brings warmth, patience and years of teaching experience to every session. See more of her work at theladymoth.com.
Places are limited — book early to avoid missing out. All materials and tools are provided, though you’re welcome to bring photos of your own pets for inspiration. We strongly recommend it.
£120 for 4 weeks
Please note there are no sessions on Mondays 4th and 25th May, and on Thursday 28th May.
