This week, we have been celebrating Learning Disabilities Week. From the individuals at Rowan to collaborative efforts, projects, artwork, and so much more, there has been an abundance of creativity. One project that truly shone was an outstanding piece created by Leroy.
Leroy is incredibly self-motivated and independent. He possesses an impressive understanding and skill in drawing, cutting, and constructing intricate 3D architectural forms. Recently, he completed a remarkable project that many of you might recognise from the film Hocus Pocus. This building serves as the witches’ home in the film, which has been transformed into a museum.
In addition to his regular schedule, Leroy dedicated several hours each week in the woodwork studios. He received valuable guidance on materials and tools from woodwork tutors Sarah and Alistair, along with assistance from volunteer John.
This has resulted in a fantastic project with an outstanding outcome. Well done, Leroy! We cannot wait to see what is next.
