The weight and texture of these pebbles gives them a soothing tactility, and displayed either singly or in a group provides a sense of calm to the space they inhabit.
The hollow pebbles are moulded by hand before being coated with terra sigillata – a refined clay slip – and kiln-fired. They are then wrapped in natural materials such as leaves, feathers and pine branches for a final smoke-firing, a process which gives the unique smoky impressions to each pebble.
