‘Saint Catherine’ by Emma A

Share:

Handcrafted in the ceramics workshop, this piece draws inspiration from the stunning stained-glass window at All Saints Church. She is celebrated as the patron of ceramics, particularly due to her connection to the wheel.

Materials: Stoneware clay, slip and glaze

Dimensions:

A word from Emma: I feel excellent because of how it came about. I liked making something big, she means a lot to me. The window is big, and the church is big, so I wanted everyone to see her easily. I wanted everyone to be able to see her with different needs. If she was small, they can’t see her. A blind person can’t see her, but they can touch her, they need to process it.”
