Join our 4-week course for an introduction in ceramic and textile jewellery, under the guidance of a skilled instructor. From clay shaping and firing, to textile rope manipulation techniques and embellishment, acquire the skills needed to bring your individual style to life.
- When: Beginning on Thursday 6 June for four weeks, 6.30pm to 9pm (2.5 hours).
- Materials: All materials for this course will be provided, but we invite you to bring any images for inspiration.
- Tutor: After a career as molecular biologist, Aurora Lombardo turned to jewellery-making and glass fusing. She is largely self-taught and has been honing her skills for over 20 years. Her work has been displayed and sold in art galleries and jewellery shops across the UK, including the V&A. https://www.auroralombardo.com/
- Cost: £100
- Accessibility: The Rowan building is wheelchair friendly and has accessible facilities. Please get in touch with us to let us know if there is something you need to be able to participate in our courses.
- Transport: We do not have any parking at our building. On street parking is available and free after 5pm each day. There are also regular buses on Chesterton Road just a five minute walk from Rowan.
- All of our community evening classes continue to support and help the running of Rowan’s day-to-day activities for adults with learning disabilities.
